Welcome to our first Alpha New Zealand Transforming Update! We are excited to bring you testimonies and news from around the country. Alpha is here to serve the church. Our resources include materials for evangelism, ongoing discipleship, marriage, leadership and much more. But in the end, we are not about the resources, we are about lives changed when they meet Jesus.

Nathan's Depression to Ecstacy
Pop (Ray) was a man I had aspired to mimic in many ways through my childhood. A bean counter with an illustrious list of clients. He experienced tremedous success through his number crunching genius and a very modest gentleman to boot.
It was extremely painful news to hear of his death, made all the more heartbreaking knowing he had distanced himself from the whole topic of God.

Tessa's Experience Inviting Friends To Alpha...

y family moved to Dunedin 3 years ago. One of the first questions that people ask you when you’re the new kid is, 'why did you moved?' The answer to this question was 'well my Dad is actually a pastor' and straight away people knew I was involved in Christian stuff. So I guess it was pretty easy to bring up church in conversation.
I found that my friends were actually really interested in my faith, the God that I believed in, and what I did on a Sunday. My friends asked me lots of questions about God. I invited them to my baptism last year which was one of the scariest things I have ever done. I was so scared that they wouldn’t want to come, but they were so supportive of me and I was so grateful for it!
